John White has been at San Joaquin Delta College since 1981. In addition to designing and directing, he has worked professionally as an actor. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Drama from St. Edward's University, and a Master of Arts in Drama from San Francisco State University.

While at the college he has designed over 100 shows in addition to directing The Time of Your Life, Oklahoma!, Pippin, Talking With . . . , Laundry and Bourbon, and Lone Star. Kendall/Hunt Publishing has recently released his new anthology, Readings in the Lively Dramatic Arts.
