This festival will feature both a talent competition judged by guest artists and a series of workshops and master classes geared to expose students to successful artists from many different professions. Students will meet directors, photographers, casting agents, artists, and theatre designers who will discuss the specifics of working in their chosen field. Delta Artsfest is an opportunity for students to demonstrate their artistic talents, interact with professional artists, ask questions, and request feedback about their performance/artwork. Join us April 5 from 8am-5pm for a true celebration of all things artistic!

Admission to this event is $10 for audience members.

Competition Categories:

The Stage

Acting: Perform a Monologue or Scene (2 actors) in 3 minutes or less.

Vocal: Perform a song or portion of a song in 3 minutes or less

Film/Video: Create a short film with a length of 3 minutes or less

Dance: Choreograph and perform a dance with a length of 3 minutes or less.

The Runway

Costume Design/Fashion:

Division 1: “Open”: Costume Couture Costume Design Catagory limited only by your imagination and creativity.

Division 2: “Recycled”: Design and construct a garment or ensemble using mostly RECYCLED products.

Both options modeled on the runway by you or the model of your choice.

Hair & Makeup Design: Create a design for Hair and/or Makeup.

Modeled on the runway by you or the model of your choice.

The Gallery

Art: Submit an art piece to be exhibited for adjudication in the

LH Horton Jr Gallery. Media accepted: painting, sculpture,

photography, graphic art, ceramics, etc.

Fashion Drawing/Costume Rendering: Submit a design to be exhibited for adjudication in the LH Horton Jr Gallery.

Theatre Set/Scenery Design: Create a shoebox model from the play of your choice to be exhibited for adjudication in the LH Horton Jr. Gallery.
