| There are various areas of employment in real estate such as sales, finance, brokerage, appraisal, escrow and title, et. A real estate salesperson, for example, would handle sales of various types of property; assist in the selection, buying and selling of homes and other properties; prospect for listing of properties; negotiate for sale and transfer of property. Labor Market Information is available for this field. In addition, Real Estate students may be eligible for a Real Estate Endowment Fund Scholarship.
NOTE: BUS 40, Real Estate Principles, must be completed before qualifying to take the State examination for the sales license. Two additional courses must be completed within 18 months to retain the license. An applicant for broker licenses must have completed eight courses in addition to experience and other requirements.
