There are various areas of employment in real estate such as sales, finance, brokerage, appraisal, escrow and title, et. A real estate salesperson, for example, would handle sales of various types of property; assist in the selection, buying and selling of homes and other properties; prospect for listing of properties; negotiate for sale and transfer of property. In addition, Real Estate students may be eligible for a Real Estate Endowment Fund Scholarship.
A course similar to BUS 40, Real Estate Principles, must be completed before qualifying to take the California State examination for the sales license. Additional course work is usually required to retain the sales' associate or broker's license.
