This program prepares the student for entry into the accounting field. It requires motivation, a commitment to service, and skill in communication and analysis. Also important are abilities to work well with others, to think abstractly, and to solve problems. Today's accountant may be called upon to devise, install and supervise the operation of general bookkeeping or accounting procedures, and to advise and consult with management on financial data, taxes, and business policy. See Labor Market Information.
