THE ZONE

The newly created student-athlete learning center "The Zone" is located on the second floor of the Budd Building, Room 205.  This center is available for student-athlete tutoring, studying and provides access to computers.  The center is a service to assist student-athletes in achieving their goals while participating in the athletic program at San Joaquin Delta College.  Academic coaches, an instructional aide and student tutors are available to promote student success.  All student athletes are required to attend "The Zone" a minimum of three hours per week.  There will be a computerized SARS system that will monitor your hours each week.  A report will be supplied to all coaches each week regarding attendance.  Coaches may require more time in "The Zone," however the requirement is three hours per week.  In order to receive priority registration this requirement MUST be met.  The only exemptions are student-athletes who have earned a 3.0 gpa or higher each semester.
