WOMEN'S WATER POLO

Delta's women's water polo begins its 7th season under head coach Mike Leabo in the Fall of 2007.  The Lady Mustangs have qualified for the Northern California Championships 4 out of the last 5 seasons.  Coach Leabo was voted Coach of the Year in 2001 and 2002 in the Bay Valley Conference and in the Big 7 South Conference in 2005.

Leabo was the head water polo and swim coach at St. Mary's High School in Stockton for 13 years before coming to Delta College.  As an athlete, Leabo was a high school All-American Water Polo player at Tokay High School during the 1979 and 1980 seasons.  In his four years at Tokay, 1997-1980, his teams compiled a 94-6 overall record.

Fall 2008 should be a big season for the Delta ladies.  Look for big things from the women’s program!
