WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL COACHING STAFF
Molly Mordaunt Head Coach Molly Mordaunt enters her first season as head volleyball coach of the Delta Mustangs. She took over for Michaela Reyes as an assistant coach for three years and as associate head coach last year. After playing volleyball at the University of the Pacific for four years, she immediately began her coaching career. Her first coaching job was at powerhouse St. Mary's High School, leading her freshman squad to an undefeated league title. She then moved on as the varsity girls volleyball coach at her alma mater, Lincoln High School where her team placed first in the league during the 2005 season. From 2007-2008, Molly was the assistant coach at the University of the Pacific. In returning to to Delta for the 2009 season, she again helped guide the Lady Mustangs to another California State Championship appearance. Molly continues to be active in the local scene coaching teams for Delta Valley Volleyball Club. As a player, Mordaunt helped Lincoln High School claim back to back Sac- Joaquin Section and Northern California Regional Division 1 championships in 1998 and 1999. At Pacific, Mordaunt appeared in three consecutive NCAA Tournaments. Along with her experiences in coaching and running youth volleyball camps, Molly brings an intense love of the game and a passion to teach young athletes the fundamentals of the game. Molly is excited to have an impact on the college level as a head coach.
Amy Castillo Assistant Coach Amy joins us for her first season as assistant volleyball coach at Delta College. She brings a lot of experience with coaching and running youth sports camps. Her enthusiasm and love of the game will be a great addition to the Delta staff. She also brings a positive, supportive attitude to the Delta Mustang program. Amy has earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from Menlo College in 2007, and her Master of Arts Degree in Psychology from CSU Stanislaus in 2010. She is currently a high school Special Education teacher at Central Valley High School in Ceres, CA.
