Delta College Softball is a member of the very competitive Big 8 Conference. In the past nine seasons, the Lady Mustangs have won conference championship 5 times and competed in the State Tournament 4 times. In 2011, Delta went 44-2, winning the competitive Big 8 and finished runner-up in the State Tournament.

The Delta Softball Team began play in 2009 on its newly renovated synthetic FIELDturf facility. The field features 44 ft. dugouts, handicapped seating, 500 bleacher seats, 2 visitor bullpens, 2 home bullpens, 2 batting tunnels with pitching machines, and a powerful watering system which is used to cool the turf on those hot days.
