Message from Athletic Director Mary Ann Paz

Both the men’s and women’s basketball teams competed in post season play with the women losing a close game in the final round of regional play.  Our softball team concluded one of their more successful seasons  of play losing in the final round of regionals.

Our women’s swim and diving team was exceptional placing 10th in the state and setting a National and State Championship record in the 50 yard breast stroke.  Our female diver placed in the top 3 in the state and five girls made All American in multiple events. 

Our track program is on the move and improving at a record pace.

Overall, 2009 proved to be successful and productive both on the field and in the classroom.  Ninety two of our athletes were recognized at the first annual Torch of Excellence awards banquet for earning a minimum of 3.0 gpa while being enrolled in a minimum of 12 units of course work for the Fall semester of 2009. 

Delta Athletics is always striving for improvement and aiming for excellence.  To that end we anticipate another successful year for the 2010-2011 academic year.
