Shaunna Ridge

Prep Career: Shaunna played 3 years of Varsity basketball for Coach Bill Baxter at El Camino High School in Sacramento. As a senior she averaged 8 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists per game. Shaunna helped lead her team to a 30-5 record earning a CIF Division III Section Championship and advancing to the Northern California Final Four. She was named to the First Team of the Capital Athletic League, named Team MVP of the Lady Eagles in 2006, and received a number of All-Tournament honors.
Delta College (2006-07): Shaunna is the only returning Mustang to have started the entire 2006-07 season. She helped the Mustangs reach their 30-5 season record and advance to the California State Tournament by leading the team in blocks (1.2), steals (2.1), and was 2nd in assists (2.5). Shaunna scored 6.3 ppg, grabbed 5.3 rebounds per game and shot 43% from the floor as a guard. She led the Mustangs in scoring in their final game at the State Tournament with 17 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 blocks and 2 steals. She earned 1st Team Big 7 honors as a freshman and was All-Tournament for the Cosumnes River Tournament in 2006.
Personal: Shaunna was born to Tim and Angelica Ridge on July 25, 1988 in Sacramento, California. She first started playing basketball in 6th grade. Her parents have influenced her the most in her basketball career because they have been supportive. Shaunna enjoys soccer, shopping, traveling, relaxing, hanging out with her friends, coaching youth basketball and having fun. Her academic goals included completing her AA degree at Delta and maintaining a 3.75 GPA. Shaunna wants to transfer to a four year college to purse a Communications Degree and earn a basketball scholarship. She would like to lead Delta to another Big 8 Championship and help the Mustangs return to the California State Tournament.

If you could take a vacation anywhere, where would it be? Jamaica- take a nap in a hammock by the beach
