Prep Career: Shaniqua played for Coach Hung Nguyen at Stagg High School in Stockton. She scored 14.4 points and grabbed 6.4 rebounds as a senior for the Delta Queens. In the off-season Shaniqua played AAU Basketball for the Delta Valley Lady Raiders and the Sockton Rough Riders. As a senior she was named 2nd Team All-League, Team Most Improved and Female Basketball Player of the Year.

Personal: Shaniqua was born on March 11, 1990 to Carena Lane and John Mitchell in Stockton, California. She has 6 siblings whose names are Ozell (23), John (20), Brianna (16), Waddie (15), Kayla (15), and Destiny (11). When Shaniqua is not playing basketball she enjoys being with her family. Shaniqua would like to major in Physical Therapy and to go to a university in Las Vegas. she wants to become a physical therapist adn open up her own private office.
