                                        NorCal Regional Playoffs 2010

Laney beat San Jose City (#13) 52-49 on Friday to advance to the Northern California Final 8.  Delta (#5) advanced past the visiting College of Sequoias (#12) out of the Central Valley Conference 81-57.  11 Mustangs scored with Vintea Georges leading the team with 14 points.  Sylvonya Moore and Tempest Dawson scored 13 and 10 points and led Delta with 8 rebounds each.  Sophomore point guard Lanajia Ernest handed off 6 assists and grabbed 4 steals for the Mustangs.  The Mustang defense hassled the visiting Lady Giants.  The Mustangs will travel to Oakland for the opportunity to knock off the BVC Champion Laney College and advance to the California State Elite 8 Tournament in Southern California.
