Asst. Coach
Jocelyn Mancebo (3rd Season)
This is Jocelyn’s third season as an assistant coach with the Delta College program. She is a former Mustang from the 2002-03 season. She will be a great asset to the Delta program because she is familiar with the expectations and is looking forward to having the opportunity to learn and coach under Coach Johnson.
Jocelyn played for head coach Gina Johnson at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton. Playing point guard, she was named to the California All Regional Team in 2002-03, Team MVP in 2003 and scored 14ppg, 4.9 apg and 3 spg. She finished her last season hitting 123-246 from the field and 35-86 beyond the arc. She currently holds the record for best 3 pt. shooting percentage at Delta. Jocelyn earned a full basketball scholarship to University of Nevada after her freshman season at Delta College.
As a sophomore at University of Nevada, Reno, Jocelyn was team captain…Lead the Wolf Pack in scoring, averaging 11 points per game. She finished second in the Western Athletic Conference in 3-pointers made, averaging 1.76 per game. She had a streak of 14 made free throws, the best on the team, and climbed to eighth in the school’s record book for 3-pointers in a season (51) and ninth in steals (57). Also, she was the only team member to start every game and averaged the most minutes played for the season.
Jocelyn is currently completing her Masters Degree in Kinesiology at Saint Mary’s College in Moraga. She plans on pursuing a career in coaching basketball at the college level. She is single and resides in Stockton.
