Jessica Cervantes #3

Position:  Guard

Height:  5’3”

High School:  Vanden

Hometown:  Fairfield

Major:  Pre-med

Prep Career:  Jessica played Varsity basketball for Coach Allison Johnson at Vanden High School.  As a senior (2007) she was named MVP of the CVCL and Most Valuable Player of her team.  She led her team to the 2nd Round CIF Section playoffs and to an CVCL Title.  Jessica scored 13.7 points per game and led the Vikings in Assists (4.0 per game).  Jessica led her league and section in three point shots made with 105 and made 45% of her attempts.  She was named to the All-Area team both her junior (2006) and senior (2007) years and was a back to back (2006 and 2007) All-League selection.

Personal:  Jessica was born on August 24, 1989 to Roberto and Nina Cervantes in Fremont, California.  When she is not playing basketball she enjoys shopping, spending time with her family and being active.  Jessica wants to continue playing basketball beyond Delta College and earn a basketball scholarship.  She wants to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree in Pre-med and eventually become a pediatrician.
