Despite being down 32-35 at the half, the Mustangs rallied in the 2nd with a 50 point scoring output to advance on to the State Semi-Finals. As always, the Mustangs have done it with a total team effort. Two players off the bench scored double-digits: Marshanique Hall had 15 points with 12 in the second half and Sophomore Jenifer Keys scored 10. Sophomores Kelci Haueter and Nyaa Davis led all scorers with 14 and 13 each. Sophomore Teylor McMiller grabbed a team-high 8 rebounds and had 2 blocks for Delta. Point guard Karleasha Thompson handed off 7 assists, grabbed 4 rebounds and scored 8 points to help lead the Mustangs to a victory. Six Mustangs hit long range from behind the arc shooting 10-22 from long range. Delta's 52% shooting from the field and 46% from 3 point range helped contribute to their win over a strong Sierra team.
