|Upon successful completion of the Auto Body Certifcate, the student demonstrates skills for employment as an apprentice collision repair person, apprentice paint technician, or as a painter's helper. AUTO ELECTRIC TECHNOLOGY
AUTOMOTIVE MASTER TECHNICIAN
||Students will learn how to perform diagnostic tests and learn how to repair today's vehicles. Areas of study include Electrical / Electronics, Engine Performance and Drive ability, Emissions, Air Conditioning, and testing vehicles for state emission programs like "Smog Check". This program is certified by the California Deparment of Consumer Affairs / Bureau of Automotive Repair (DCA / BAR) to deliver the Basic and Advanced Clearn Air Course. |The student can learn skills necessary to work as a fully trained automotive technician in all eight "ASE" areas: engine repair, automatic transmissions / transaxles, manual drive chains / axles, suspension and steering, brakes, electrical / electronics, engine performance, air conditioning advanced engine performance, and the Clean Air Car Course for emission training. This program is certified by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF) in association with the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).
This program is also certified by the California Department of Consumer Affairs / Bureau of Automotive Repair (DCA / BAR) to deliver the Basic and Advanced Clean Air Car course. The student may also receive certification required for air conditioning repair and training for the California Headlamp Adjusters license once studies are completed within this area of study. This program offers a Automotive Master Technician Certificate and The Automotive Master Technician with Apprenticeship Option. AUTOMOTIVE MECHANICS TECHNOLOGY
||Upon successful completion of the Auto Mechanics Technology Certificate, the student will demonstrate skills, knowledge and training for employment in positions such as: technicians for repair of engines, automotive tranmissions and transaxles, manual drive train and axles, suspension, steering and brakes. The student will demonstrate the high level skills includeing ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) technician competence for a variety of areas related to auto mechanics. This program is accredited by NATEF (National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation) and certified in five ASE areas. This program offers the Automotive Mechanics Technology Certificate .
