  • To see the certificate requirements, click on this link. Scroll down to the Applied Science and Technology Division, click the appropriate Academic Year, and then the discipline you are interested in.
  • To see the AS/AA degree requirements, click on this link. On the top of the page choose AA or AS degree Applications and Checklists, click the appropriate Academic Year and the degree information you are seeking. For a AA/AS specific to a certain area, click on the Area of Concentration Link and browse for your area of interest. Those will be the classes you need to take IN ADDITION TO the general AA/AS requirements.

CORRECTIONAL SCIENCE
Upon successful completion of the Correctional Science Certificate, the student demonstrates knowledge and skills for a job in corrections, probation, and / or adult or juvenille probation. The students will successfully demonstrate their ability to recognize and apply the concepts and terminology that is needed to understand the California criminal justice system. The Chancellor's Office approves the program. This program offers the option to earn a Certificate or an Associate of Science Degree. LAW ENFORCEMENT
The Law Enforcement Program will teach students the skills, knowledge and training in areas such as concepts of criminal law, criminal justice in society, report preparation, community relations as law enforecement personnel and more. Upin successful completion of the Associate Degree in Law Enforcement, the student demonstrates the fulfillment of the lower-division requirements for any accredited baccalaureate institution; preparation for participa-tion in the Basic Peace Officer Academy; and a job in law enforcement. FIRE SCIENCE
Upon successful completion of the Fire Science Program, the student demonstrates skills, knowledge and training for a position in the fire science field. The student will demonstrate their ability to recognize and understand the concepts and terminology that are needed to understand the fire service. This program offers the option to earn a Certificate or an Associate of Science Degree. Upon successful completion of the Associate in Science Degree Fire Science, the student will be able to demonsrate skills for the full-fillment of the lower-division requirements for any accredited baccalaureate institution, preparation for participation in the Basic Fire Fighter Academy, and a job in law enforcement.
