• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to prioritize
• General knowledge of mathematics
• General knowledge of computers
• Ability to communicate verbally/written (e-mail, voice mail, etc.) with instructors and staff
• Ability to ask question when in doubt
• Ability to work some evenings

For Biology:

• Successful completion of Bio 001 or higher or high school experience
• Familiarity of general biology laboratory equipment
• Ability to set up and tear down biology experiments
• Monitor inventory and communicate need for replacement/repairs of lab equipment
• Clean, store and label laboratory equipment

For Chemistry:

• Successful completion of Chem. 3A or higher or high school experience
• Familiarity of general chemistry laboratory equipment
• Ability to set up and dear down chemistry experiments
• Monitor chemical inventory and communicate need for replacement/repairs of lab equipment
• Assist in the preparation of chemistry solutions
• Clean, store and label laboratory equipment
• Experience with hazardous waste (storage, labeling) a plus

For Physics: 

• Successful completion of at least Physics 010 or high school experience
• Ability to set up and tear down experiments
• Knowledge of Physics 010 laboratory equipment for problem solving
• Ability to work in lab and assist students during experiments
• Monitor inventory and communicate need for replacement/repairs of lab equipment

We are looking for lab aides for Biology 001, Chemistry 1A and Physics. Our senior Science Technician has put together the above requirements for each position.
