National Resource Directory

The US Departments of Defense, Labor and Veterans Affairs are pleased to introduce the re-designed and enhanced National Resource Directory Web site,

Created for Wounded Warriors, Veterans and their families and caregivers, the new National Resource Directory has proved to be a useful tool for service providers who support the military and Veterans communities. The National Resource Directory provides access to over 10,000 services and resources at the national, state and local levels to support recovery, rehabilitation and community reintegration. We are proud to assure our users they can trust the content as resources are reviewed regularly by a content management team that includes several Veterans and subject matter experts.

Also included on the site is an expanded Homeless Assistance section where users can find information on a variety of programs and benefits.

Asbestos News

Asbestos is a potent carcinogen and the primary cause of mesothelioma cancer. Because of its unique fire resistant properties, asbestos was widely used in military applications, and at the same time it put our nation's military veterans at high risk for developing asbestos related illnesses. Asbestos News provides news and information to help veterans who have been exposed to asbestos or diagnosed with mesothelioma understand where and how they may have been exposed, what the health risks are, and available treatment options.

National Veterans Foundation

We are a national non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to bettering te lives of veterans and their families, and honoring their service to our country.

United States Department of Veterans Affairs

Our goal is to provide excellence in patient care, veterans' benefits and customer satisfaction. We have reformed our department internally and are striving for high quality, prompt and seamless service to veterans. Our department's employees continue to offer their dedication and commitment to help veterans get the services they have earned. Our nation's veterans deserve no less.

California Department of Veterans Affairs

Providing California veterans and their families with aid and assistance in presenting their claims for veterans' benefits under the laws of the United States; to provide them with beneficial opportunities through direct low-cost loans to acquire farms and homes; and to provide the state's aged or disabled veterans with rehabilitative, residential, and medical care and services in a home-like environment at the California Veterans Homes.

Veterans for America

Veterans for America is an advocacy and humanitarian organization.  The primary mission of VFA is to ensure that our country meets the needs of servicemembers and veterans who have served in Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). VFA focuses specifically on the signature wounds these conflicts: psychological traumas and traumatic brain injuries. VFA concentrates much of its attention on the needs of those who are currently serving in the military since the majority of those who have seen combat in Iraq and Afghanistan are still in the military and under the care of the Department of Defense.

The Soldiers Project

We are a group of licensed mental health professionals who offer free psychological treatment to military service members (active duty, National Guard, Reserves and veterans) who have served or who expect to serve in the conflicts in Iraq or Afghanistan. We also provide treatment to members of their families and other loved ones. Treatment is conducted in our private offices. Our therapists are all volunteers and our services are entirely confidential. We do not report to any governmental agency.

We are a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization as defined by the IRS. Contributions are fully tax-deductible.
