Welcome Active and Former Members of the Armed Services! You've been called "The Next Greatest Generation." We believe that, and we believe in you. The Troops to College Program exists to ensure that you receive the best possible service while attending Delta College. You've stood the watch, now it's our turn to stand by you while you pursue your career and educational goals. I hope you'll become an active participant in this program and a member of the Veteran Student Alliance, our student partner, whose mission is to provide a voice for issues important to military students and their families. Visit our Veteran Resource Center – BUDD 310 Veteran Resource Center Contact: The Veteran Resource Center is the central hub for our Troops to College Program and the veteran student organization, Veteran Student Alliance (VSA). The center offers a wide array of services and resources to our student veterans. One of the biggest issues facing combat veterans is social isolation. Many combat veterans have difficulty adjusting to civilian life, especially adjusting to college. We have over 400 veterans on campus, most have just recently returned from Iraq (OIF) or Afghanistan (OEF). The Veteran Resource Center provides quiet study area, tutoring, computer access, veteran benefits information, networking with other veterans on campus, and coordination with the Veteran Student Alliance from one central location.
Services Provided: Computer Access, Quiet Study, Tutoring, Workshops, VSA Meetings |
