IMPORTANT CLUB INFORMATION
STARTING A CLUB
1. Find at least ten (10) people who are interested in joining your club.
2. Find a Full-Time Instructor who would be willing to be the Advisor for the club (see Responsibilities of a Club Advisor link below).
3. Pick up a Club Packet in the Student Activities Office, Shima 101C, or download and print the forms from the links below.
4. Pick up three (3) yellow signature cards from the Student Activities Office, Shima 101C (not available online).
5. Submit completed Club Packet and a copy of your Club Constitution (Sample copies of Constitutions are available) to the Student Activities Office, Shima
101C.
Your packet will be reviewed by the Supervisor of Student Activities, and you will be notified when and if it is approved. Incomplete packets will be returned.
ACTIVE CLUB STATUS
To maintain Active Club Status, your club must:
1. Submit an updated Club Packet to the Student Activities Office, Shima 101C, each and every spring/fall semester and summer intersession.
2. If there are no changes, a letter from your club must be submitted to the Student Activities Office, Shima 101C, stating your club status, and must be signed by two (2) Club Officers and the Club Advisor.
No club will be allowed to participate in any Club or InterClub Council activities or events without Active Club Status.
Club packets are available to be picked up in the Student Activities Office, Shima 101C, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., or you may choose to download and print them from the links below. All of the forms in the packet are available, with the exception of the three (3) yellow signature cards, and the Student Activities Activity/Facility Permit Request which are available to be picked up in the Student Activities Office, Shima 101C. You must also submit an updated copy of your Club Constitution with your application. Incomplete packets will be returned to your Club Mailbox in the Student Activities Office, Shima 101C.
