Puente Project is a National Award Winning Program that has helped thousands of underserved students reach their academic dreams.  Puente's goal is to increase the number of students who transfer to four year colleges and universities, earn degrees, and return to the community as leaders and mentors to future generations.

As a Student of this program:

  • You take an English Class with a curricular focus on Latino Literature and experience.
  • You are matched with a professionally successful mentor who assists you with your career goals. 
  • You get to experience cultural activities and field trips to other four-year colleges and universities.

Puente Eligibility:

  • Level II Reading & Composition
  • Transfer Bound
  • Make one year commitment
  • Enroll full time - 12 units plus
  • Work no more than 20 hrs/wk
