The San Joaquin Delta Community College District provides primary law enforcement service and community policing through the District Police Department.

The District Police Department is a full service, P.O.S.T. certified police agency that provides general law enforcement services twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week to over 21,000 students, staff and visitors. Police personnel enforce federal, state and local laws, including criminal laws and vehicle code violations, as well as investigate all criminal and traffic cases that occur within the District. The District Police Department also provides policing for a variety of events held within the District for the community at large.
