GENERAL ELECTRICIAN CERTIFICATION PROGRAM -
ELECTRICIAN TRAINEE

To become an electrician trainee you must complete and submit this APPLICATION FORM.

Individuals who have never attended San Joaquin Delta College and those students who have not attended for more than one semester must apply ONLINE for admission to the college before enrolling in classes.   Please visit the Admissions and Records page for the Five Easy Steps necessary to register.

Spring 2012 Semester

San Joaquin Delta College has been approved by the Division of Industrial Relations (DIR) and the Chancellor's Office.

Electricians already working in the field and beginners interested in becoming electricians are invited to enroll in the courses listed below.

Courses will be held on the main Campus in Stockton AND South Campus at Mountain House.

Who needs to be certified to work in California as an electrician?

Electricians who work for a contractor with a class C-10 license.

What do I need to do to work as an electrician for a contractor licensed as Class C-10 in California?

You can work as an electrician for a

class C-10 contractor if...

General electrician
You have on the job experience of at least... 8,000 hours
Sign up for and pass the exam
You have some on the job experience, but not the required amount. Some on the job experience - general electrician
You are a registered apprentice participating in a state approved apprenticeship program. Registered apprentice - general electrician
You have decided to embark on a career as an electrician and have no experience or related instruction. No on the job experience or instruction - general electrician
