Before completing Delta College application, students without a social security number/alien registration number must contact Delta College Admissions & Records to request an Arbitrary Number.
The Arbitrary Number is used for the purpose of applying for admissions as SJDC. Students may request Arbitrary number over the phone (209) 954-5151 ext. 6188 or by visiting the Admissions & Records window located on the first floor of the DeRicco Student Service Center.
Student will use Arbitrary Number, number starting with “300” on the on-line admissions application in the field that asks for social security number.
Once the on-line application has been processed and student has received student identification number, student will complete and submit an AB 540 affidavit if they meet the requirements.
Note: If student status changes or is later approved for Deferred Action of Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and obtains a social security card, the student may submit a Change of Information form to Admissions & Records to update their arbitrary number to their assigned social security number.
