Leticia Hurtado Born in Michoacan Mexico Mini-Corps Coordinator and Instructor at San Joaquin Delta College. The California Mini-Corps Program was initiated in 1967, patterned after the Peace Corps Program. A corps of college students with a rural migrant background was recruited to work as teacher assistants in migrant impacted summer schools. California Mini-Corps at Delta College recruits bilingual, full-time students pursuing a career in education to provide educational services to migrant students in schools around San Joaquin County. |
