Learning Communities
What is a Learning Community? |
- Two or more classes linked together by a common theme or context. For example, “Who Am I, Where Am I Going, and How Do I Get There?” combines Guidance 30, Guidance 31, and Guidance 32. This learning community emphasizes self-assessment, career exploration, and informational interviewing.
- Various assignments and/or activities in one class relate to the other class(es) in the learning community.
- The same students enroll in all classes within the learning community, fostering a sense of “community” among students and faculty.
