The Cisco Academy centers in teaching students to design, build and maintain computer networks. Curriculum content is based on industry standards and skills that can be applied to any data or telecommunications platform. Students attain skills using state of the art equipment while working in real world case scenarios.
San Joaquin Delta College offers various courses, which prepare the students for multiple industry certifications. The core program prepares the students for the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA). However, other courses will prepare the students for the CCNA Security, CCNA Wireless, CCNP, A +, Network +, and other certifications.
The sequence of courses, as required by the Cisco Academy is as follows:
Most IT departments currently have a person responsible for administering the network. This person may carry different titles such as Network Manager, Network Technician, Network Administrator, and so on. It doesn't matter what the title is, they all must know basic networking. The Cisco Certified Networking Associate allows the students to enter this area as well as upgrading skills of those who already work in the industry.
