Welcome to Delta College!

As the Title V Counselor, I am available to assist Hispanic students seeking Associate's and Bachelor's degrees.  I am available to help you with deciding on a career, planning out your courses, helping you with transferring to a university and personal counseling.  Although I am the lead counselor for Title V students, you may see any DSPS, EOPS or general counselor.

I would love to meet with you and create a Student Education Plan (SEP) that will map out which courses you need to complete your educational goals.

I am available to see you Monday – Friday

9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Call 954-5650 to set up an appointment or come by Danner 205.

Bienvenidos to the Title V Program!

What is Title V?

Delta College was awarded a federal grant through the U.S. Department of Education to increase the retention and success rates of degree-seeking, low-income, Hispanic and or first generation college students.

Who is the Title V team?

The team includes faculty from various disciplines such as reading, English, math and science as well as administrators, a counselor and classified staff.

What is the purpose of the Title V grant?

The purpose of the grant is to increase the number of students who complete an Associate’s degree and transfer to four year universities.  Title V students will be supported by taking learning community courses, tutoring in the labs, academic, career and personal counseling as well as a mentoring program.

Where are the Title V Learning Centers?

The science and math learning center is located in Shima 217.  The reading and writing center is located in Holt 201.  Instructors and tutors will be available to assist Title V students with their course work in various subjects.  Also, the Title V faculty will be teaching learning community classes, which means that Title V students can take their courses together with the same teachers.

Where is the Title V office located?

The Title V office is located in Budd 310.
