What should I do first?
If you are new to Delta College, you must apply for Admission to the college before enrolling in classes. Applications must be completed Online. You can do this online from home or at a following location: Student Services Lab, Goleman 128 (Stockton Campus) Tracy Learning Center, 1895 W. Lowell Avenue, Tracy San Joaquin Delta College online application. On-line applications are processed within 24 hours after receipt of the completed Signature Page. Applications must be completed Online. You are ready to begin your college expereince as soon as your application is processed. First time students are provided with a brief orientation prior to their assessment. The assessment orientation counselor will explain the assessment process and meaning of the test scores in course enrollment. Information on the next steps in orientation and registration will also be covered. After assessment. all matriculated stuidents (those wanting priority registration credit) are expected to enroll in Guidance 11, which is a full .5 unit (8 hour) orientation class. ORIENTATION An on going goal of the New Student Orientation Program is to convey the purpose of higher education and the mission of San Joaquin Delta College. Student Learning Outcomes and accompanying text for our Student Orientation program will be developed to insure continuity of Delta college’s message. Our Orientation Program is designed to introduce students to college requirements and expectations, student support services and first year planning. Learning OutcomesIn the Guidance 11 New Student Orientation class a counselor will help new students understand the role of educational planning in overall academic success. Students are encouraged to sign up for an orientation course (such as Guidance 10) during their first semester.
