Re-entry Program for Adult Learners at Delta College

The Reentry Program at San Joaquin Delta College is designed for adult learners and returning students to Delta College. The Re-entry Services Program offers a wide range of services for adult learners including but not limited to the following:

  • Counseling based services for returning adult learners.
  • Guidance 17 course – Introduction to College and Ed. Planning for Reentry Students.
  • Assistance with enrollment, assessment, testing, and registration.
  • Overall resource to assist re-entry students transition into Delta College.

ESL, GED, Puente, etc...

Delta Golddd/ TRIO Golddd is designed to assist Delta College students obtain an AA/AS degree and transfer to four year universitites.  Participants must be U.S. Citizens and show financial need or have a disability, or be a first generation student to attend college.

The Puente Program Puente Project is a National Award Winning Program that has helped thousands of underserved Latino and other students reach their academic dreams.  Puente's goal is to increase the number of students who transfer to four year colleges and universities, earn degrees, and return to the community as leaders and mentors to future generations- Puente is Spanish for Bridge. MESA Delta College MESA/CCCP is based on a rigorous academic program that uses various components to support community college students to excel in math, engineering, and science. In addition, the program components help build an academically based peer comunity to provide mutual student support and motivation. CAHSEE

California High School Exit Exam

The purpose of The CAHSEE Project is to Recover, Restore, Refocus students through:

  • Recovery of students from the Class of 2006 who did not pass the CAHSEE
  • Restoration of their academic potentials
  • Refocusing these students to pass the CAHSEE, graduate from high school, and enter onto a success track toward higher education and/or career development.

Americorps AmeriCorps is a national service program engaging adult citizens of all ages in the task of meeting critical unmet needs in their local communities. AmeriCorps members volunteer a year of community service and, in exchange, receive an educational voucher that can be used to help finance higher education or pay back educational loans. AmeriCorps is often called the "Domestic Peace Corps."

Project Affirm Affirm is a program designed to assist African-American students transfer and earn 2 year Delta College degrees.  The program also seeks to help students improve reading and writing skills and levels as well as promote the inclussion of African American students in the Delta College community.
