New or Returning Students: You are on Step 3 of the Five Easy Steps of the enrollment process at Delta College.

The Guidance and Counseling Department provides information and support to students in pursuit of educational achievement.

                                                                                                                                               

These services facilitate:

  • Career self assessment, planning and decision making
  • Development of appropriate academic programs
  • Resolution of personal issues affecting programs of study
  • Development of decision making and problem solving skills
  • Organization of resources which promote success   
Summer 2009 Counseling

Summer Counseling

From June 1 to August 21, all counseling appointments will be scheduled in person at the Counseling Office in Danner 205 (Same Day appointments).  You will not be able to schedule an appointment online during the summer.

Continuing and Returning Students (Those who have already taken classes at Delta):

Same Day appointments will be assigned each day beginning at 8:00 am at the Counseling Office in Danner 205 and scheduled throughout the day on a first come, first served basis.  Come early to be assured of an appointment.  Developing or updating an Educational Plan requires an appointment. 

If you only have a quick question for a counselor, please come to Express Counseling in Danner 206, just outside the Counseling Office, and a counselor will assist  you.

 

Financial Aid Disqualification:

Students on Financial Aid Disqualification must attend a workshop before meeting with a counselor.  Please click here for the workshop schedule.

New Students and Incoming Transfers (Those who have never taken a class at Delta):

If you are a New Student and have completed an Admission Application and Assessment, please sign up for a Guid 11 course and a counselor will help you complete a First Semester Course List in that course.

If you are a New Student and you have not completed an Admission Application or Assessment, please go to the Delta website, www.deltacollege.edu, and go to "New Students" and select "Begin Here" to complete the Admission Application and sign up for the Academic Assessment/Placement.  You must complete these two steps before signing up for a Guid 11 course.

If you are an Incoming Transfer student, please come to Express Counseling in Danner 206, just outside the Counseling Office, and a counselor will assist you.

Mental Health Issues

We're here to help!  The Counseling Office and many other Student Services offices are here to help the students and staff at Delta College.  Our mental health services include help with:

  • Psychiatric Events
  • Campus Events
  • Life Issues/Events
  • Referrals to Community Resources
