GED PROGRAM SERVICES San Joaquin Delta College offers an instructional GED program to prepare students to pass the five GED tests. The program offers classroom instruction as well as hands-on computer assisted program. The GED exams are a battery of five tests in Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, Language Arts Writing and Language Arts Reading. The GED tests take seven or more hours to complete. The program also offers all its services, including the instructional component, in Spanish.

Benefits to enrolling in the GED program include but not limited to:
  • The GED classes offer an individualized instructional program in all five areas of the GED.
  • The GED program provides computer-assisted instruction in all five areas of the GED including access to Internet services.
  • The GED program offers tutor services in the classroom and students also have access to Delta College’s Tutor Center where students can receive free tutoring services.
  • The GED program provides counseling services. Counselors can help you plan your educational path, acquire financial aid, and connect to the many services of San Joaquin Delta College.
  • The GED classes are offered during the morning and evening hours on various days of the week including Saturday. Classes are also offered off-campus in the Stockton, Lodi and Tracy area.
  • The GED classes are nine-weeks in length
  • Students will be given the Official GED Practice Tests in the classroom to determine the student’s readiness to take the GED exams.
