The Foster and Kinship Care Education Program (FKCE) provides parenting pre-service to prospective foster parents, and in-service training for foster parents and interested non-foster parents throughout the year.

Classes, mostly multi-session and 4 Saturday all-day classes, are offered on a rotating basis. All FKCE classes can be taken for college credit and/or foster parent licensing credit.

The program is designed to strengthen the quality of family foster care and adoption services by providing competency-based training for foster parents.
