SPECIAL ALERT FOR CAL GRANT STUDENTS

Governor Jerry Brown signed the 2012-13 Budget Act on June 27, 2012. As part of the budget agreement, the California Student Aid Commission announced the following changes to the Cal Grant Programs for the current 2012-13 award year, reducing the Cal Grant award amounts by 5% as follows:

• The maximum Access Grant award from $1,551 to $1,473 for all new and renewal Cal Grant B recipients.
• The maximum book and supply award from $576 to $547 for all new and renewal Cal Grant C recipients.

2012-13 Cal Grant payments will be delayed until the California Student Aid Commission has both made corrections to all awards and forwarded funding to the school.
