Admission Steps

EOPS Student Orientation

The EOPS Student Orientation is a required activity for all new applicants to EOPS. In order to be officially admitted all new applicants are required to attend the EOPS student orientation.

Sign a Contract

Upon acceptance to the EOPS program the student will receive a signed copy of the Mutual Responsibility Contract. The contract states that you will voluntarily participate in the various counseling, educational support, and student follow-up activities, as well as abide by the policies, procedures and timelines established by the EOPS program.

Please note changes in EOPS Counseling and EOPS Academic Progress Reports starting this fall semester 2011.

EOPS Counseling	Student Education Plan SEP
Students are required to meet with your EOPS counselor three times during the course of the semester. Starting the fall semester 2011 you will no longer be able to substitute a workshop/seminar for a counseling appointment. Please see Important Dates for information and deadline dates.	A SEP Is developed by an EOPS counselor for you, to identify the courses in which you will need to enroll each semester, to complete the requirements for your certificate, associate, or university program of study.
EOPS Seminars/Workshops	EOPS Academic Progress Reports
Students should highly consider attending approved EOPS seminars/workshops which can expose you to information and experiences which will strengthen and broaden your understanding of campus and community resources.	Academic Progress Report - Self Assessment is an activity initiated by EOPS in which students provide a self-assessment of their academic progress. Students will be required to complete three progress reports during the course of the semester. The progress reports will be available as a link through the student email. Students should check Important Dates for more information.

***Note: Failure to complete one or more of these responsibilities will affect your continued eligibility and lead to your disqualification from the EOPS program and its services.
