Since graduating from Sacramento State University with a Master's degree in English, Barbara Broer has been teaching at Delta College. She has continued her education in English and American literature and in teaching writing by taking courses at the University of the Pacific, Stanislaus State University, UC Berkeley, and Cambridge University in England.

After completing her M.A. as an International Peace Scholar in 1968, Rosaline Lee Fung launched a widely varied teaching career. Drawing from her multi-lingual background, she published a series of eight textbooks on writing entitled Patterns for Success, which are used in schools all over the world, including the U.S., Canada, and China. Aside from teaching English and ESL and coordinating special programs for visiting educators from China at Delta College, she currently serves on the International Educational Advisory Council of U-CANDU Learning Centers (Canada). Recent recognition includes a listing in the 27th edition of Who's Who in the West.

Richard Moore was educated in the east, at Thiel College, and in the west, at CSU San Diego, where he earned his B.A. in 1960, and at CSU San Francisco, where he earned his M.A. in 1964. He taught at Slippery Rock State College before coming in 1969 to Delta College, where he taught composition, literature, and film classes until retiring in 1995. In conjunction with his film class, he developed a film series open to the campus and the public. He emerged from retirement in 1997 to continue teaching composition and literature classes.
Currently, Martha Rice teaches English 40B (Current Literature) and Speech 3 (Interpersonal Communication) online. This course will be appropriate for students who plan to go into the teaching profession as well as those who just love to tell stories. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Literature from Middlebury College, Middlebury, Vermont and a Masters degree in Speech and Theatre from Hunter College of the City University of New York. She also holds a Masters degree in English from the University of the Pacific. She is the co-author of a writing textbook for speakers of English as a Second Language. She served as a regional board member for the English Council of Two Year Colleges and is a member of the National Storytelling Network. Her short stories have appeared in Room of Her Own, a magazine of women’s literature and criticism.
