Kids College is looking for "a few good teachers"...

Do you have some free time during the late afternoon or on Saturday during the fall or spring? Or, during the day or on Saturdays during the summer?  Are you interested in earning a little extra money, making a difference, and having a rewarding teaching experience?  Do you have expertise in an area and love working with young students?  Think Kids College!  This program offers a variety of academic and enrichment workshops for children and teens on the Delta College campus.  The goal is to provide fun and challenging workshops that excite students about learning, as well as teach them new skills, develop hobbies, and explore possible careers. Kids College is looking for unique workshops that encourage children to think and create.

 

Kids College teachers have the freedom to set the age ranges and maximum number of students, as well as the dates, times, days, and length of their workshops.  They also develop the curriculum for their workshops.  There are no tests to correct, papers to read, grades, parent conferences, or state standards.  Kids College presenters really enjoy teaching children!  Our workshops are not-for-credit and they are fee-based.  Presenters are paid $25 per hour for the period of the workshop.  (Prep time is not paid.) Teaching credentials are not required. I am looking for quality, reliable presenters who have experience, expertise, and a passion for working with young people.

• For Spring 2009 term, due by August 26, 2008
• For Summer 2009 term, due by January 19, 2009
• For Fall 2009 term, due by April 6, 2009
