What to Do In an Emergency Situation

  1. Call Mobility and First-Aid immediately at (209) 954-5878 or (209) 954-5078.
  2. Stay calm.

  

  

First-Aid

The first-aid side of the office provides basic life support for students and employees.

• Our office takes blood pressures for student and staff.

• We document accident reports for students and Employees.

• We provide basic first aid for students and staff.

• We are dispatched by the campus police for EMS calls or a student/staff can walk in if they are able.

Emergency Procedures:


Approximately 150 students with significant physical limitations may require assistance during emergency evacuations. These students have been advised by our office to make you, their instructor, aware of any special evacuation needs that they may have. If you are in doubt about how to assist a certain student, ask him/her directly. If you need assistance with this, please call our office at ext. 5330.

Note: In most emergencies, students using wheelchairs do not need to be moved to ground level, but rather to the safest point on the same level exterior walkway/balcony.
