Alternate Format Timeline |
|
Before the term begins
|
|
1.
|
Meet with your DSPS counselor before registration begins to request an early registration appointment, choose your classes, and discuss appropriate accommodations. |
2. |
Register your classes on your appointment date at the specified time. |
3. |
Purchase your textbooks and bring them to DSPS at least 3 weeks before the beginning of the term. (If the books are not available in the bookstore, check Amazon.com, Barnes and Noble...) |
4. |
Meet with Wendy Lieginger in DSPS to discuss your alternate format needs. |
The First Week of the Term |

5. |
Pick up alternately formatted texts. |
6. |
Turn in any syllabi, notes, class handouts, and assignments that you want formatted (keep in mind, there is a 48 hour turnaround time for most syllabi, notes, class handouts, and assignments). |
7. |
Check your alternately formatted materials. Report any problems to Wendy Lieginger immediately (209) 954-5331 or wlieginger@deltacollege.edu. |

8. |
Check weekly on any work turned in to DSPS for alternate formatting. |
At The End of the Term
|

9. |
Turn in your text disk, Braille, and tactile graphics if you choose to sell your textbooks. |
10. |
Pick up your original textbook. |
Reminder: Make sure to bring in all work as soon as you know you need it, to ensure we can finished it for you on time. Be sure to pick it up on time, too. |
