John White has been at San Joaquin Delta College since 1981. In addition to designing and directing, he has worked professionally as an actor. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Drama from St. Edward's University, and a Master of Arts in Drama from San Francisco State University.

While at Delta College he has designed over 100 shows in addition to directing The Time of Your Life, Chess, Largo Desolato, Fools, Play It Again Sam, The Rainmaker, Oklahoma!, Pippin, Talking With . . . , Lone Star& Laundry and Bourbon, and Fiddler on the Roof. This year he will be directing Once on this Island and Fuddy Meers.

John is currently shooting an independent film and has recently appeared Raising the Abbots, Lost, and The Sci-Fi Project. He has appeared onstage locally in Dancing at Luginessa, The Boyfriend, Oliver, The Comedy of Errors and last year in Antigone.

Kendall/Hunt Publishing has recently released the second printing of his new anthology, Readings in the Lively Dramatic Arts.
