Actor Training Program
ATP Brochure
San Joaquin Delta College has a two-year
pre-professional training program for students
interested in a career in the performing arts.
The program is focused on both acting and
technical theater training and is intended for both
the transfer student and those who plan to go
directly into the profession.
Enrollment in these classes requires an audition
of a monologue, no more than four minutes in
length followed by an interview. The audition
and interview is intended to ascertain the
students strengths.
In the first year of the program, students attend
technical classes each Monday, Wednesday, and
Friday from 12:30 p.m. until 1:50 p.m. and then
the acting class from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
Second year students attend Technical class each
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12:30
p.m. until 1:50 p.m. and Acting Class Monday

conflict with work or other classes. In addition

production and small studio productions in both
the fall and spring semesters.
