How do I register for a seminar or workshop?
You can register online by clickong on the"Workshops & Registration" link to the left or by coming to Locke 107 (a $3 processing fee will apply if you register in person). You can also come to the seminar or workshop and register at the class. However, some classes fill up quickly, and advance registration is recommended. Other classes may be cancelled due to low enrollment if not enough people register in advance.
How do I obtain a registration form?
If you do not wish to register online, you can download a registration form by clicking on the “Forms & Documents” link on the left. You can also find registration forms in the Delta Digest, which is available at most public libraries and at locations throughout the campus, including the Community Education Office in Locke 107. If you want to register in person, you can come to Locke 107 (a $3 processing fee will apply).
You can also call the Community Education Office at (209) 954-5013 to register over the phone (a $3 processing fee will apply).
Do I have to give my social security number when I register?
No. The registration system used by Community Education is not linked in any way to Delta College's registration system, so we do not need to have your social security number.
How do I register if I want to pay cash?
You can come to the campus and register in the Community Education Office in Locke 107. Office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. You can also go to the workshop and register there, but it’s best to pre-register to make sure that you get in to the class you want. Space is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
How do I register if I want to write a check?
You can mail your registration form and your check made payable to Delta College to:

You may use a credit card when you register online or when you come in to Locke 107 or call on the phone at (209) 954-5045.
Do I have to be admitted to Delta College in order to take Community Education classes?
No, you do not have to go through the admission process. All you have to do is fill out a registration form, which only asks for some basic information. Just fill out a registration form and pay the class fee.
Do I get college credit for Community Education classes?
No, you do not get credit for Community Education classes. All of the workshops offered through Community Education are not-for-credit and are not graded. Community Education classes have been developed for specific needs or interests in the community, not for academic credit. There are usually no books to buy and no tests to take.
How often do classes meet?
Some classes meet only once, while others continue for up to 10 weeks. All of that information is included in the class description on the “Workshops & Registration” web page.
Are the same workshops offered every semester?
Some of the workshops are offered on a regular basis, but others may be offered only once, while still others may be offered just in the Spring or just in the Fall. If you are interested in a particular seminar or workshop and don’t see it listed on the Workshop Schedule, please send an e-mail to cmackey@deltacollege.edu or call the Community Education Office at (209) 954-5013 and ask about it. This is also a good way to let us know what you’re interested in learning!
