MATH 075B Mathematics Preparation for College ( 4 week Course)

This course is a review of mathematics necessary to prepare a student to be successful in college level mathematics. It covers material commonly found in a Beginning Algebra course as well as those topics found in an Intermediate Algebra course. Such topics chosen from these areas include but are not limited to equations and inequalities, rational expressions, exponents, radicals and logarithms, functions and graphs. Upon completion of this course, the student will have the fundamental skills to do well in a Pre-Calculus course.

Engineering 75A Mathematical Applications in Engineering (6 week Course)

This course covers a variety of applications of mathematics used in engineering, with selected examples from solid and fluid mechanics, electrical circuits, materials engineering, energy conversion, and engineering design.  The material in the class should assist the student in determining if engineering is a career that he/she would like to pursue.
