DESCRIPTION OF THE ACTIVITIES

Planetarium: (This activity is 1 hour and 15 minutes) Students will see a show and hear a presentation about the night sky.

                                                 Dawn of the Space Age

Re-live the excitement of the early days of space exploration, from the launch of the first artificial satellite sputnik, to the magnificent lunar landings and privately operated space flights. Be immersed and overwhelmed with this most accurate historic reconstruction of Man's first steps into space.

                                                          California Skies

A live program that will discuss the bright stars, constellations, planets, and deep sky objects visible in the sky tonight.

Computer Science: (This activity is 1 hour and 30 minutes) Step through the looking glass with Alice and her friends into lands of fairies, samurai, ice skaters and the lost world of ancient Greece and Egypt.  Discover how much fun it is to write computer programs by creating your own movies with robots, space aliens, and much more!  Explore the basic principles of object oriented programming by creating virtual worlds using the Alice programming language.
