Sandra Varela, our Resource Specialist, provides initial and ongoing referrals to CalWORKs students after completion of a Family Needs Inventory. Barriers to success at SJDC will be identified and students will be referred to campus departments and off-campus offices or agencies based upon individual need.

The CalWORKs program at San Joaquin Delta College also offers a series of workshops called "Tools to Succeed" which are offered monthly on varying topics of interest for CalWORKs students. Click here for the workshop schedule.

CalWORKs has also developed a very thorough Resource Directory, in collaboration with the San Joaquin County Local Child Care Planning Council.  The Community Connections Resource Directory for San Joaquin County is updated annually in the Spring.  Click here to view an electronic version of the directory.
