 Developmental Education 86 - Basic Skills (Applied) Mathematics

This course is designed specifically to provide the prerequisite math competencies necessary for success in vocational and/or professional programs. This course is sequenced from whole numbers to percents inclusive of ratio/proportion, measurements, surfaces/shapes, and graphs/charts. The primary emphasis is to develop the strategies for complex problem solving. Concurrent enrollment in the Applied Math Lab course DE 78 is required.

Developmental Education 78 - Basic Skills (Applied) Mathematics Laboratory

This laboratory course is a developmental approach to the acquisition of essential mathematics competencies. The Applied Math Lab provides each student with individualized diagnosis, prescription, and instruction to acquire mastery of computational and problem-solving skills.

Developmental Education 87 - Survival Mathematics

This course is designed to provide students with computational and problem solving skills using whole numbers, decimals, fractions and percents. The practical skills in measurement and money management are also covered. Emphasis is placed on the vocabulary and correct language usage needed to express number concepts and ideas. Concurrent enrollment in the Applied Math Lab course DE 78 is required.

Business Mathematics 82 - Business Math

This course is designed to provide mathematics skills necessary for business. The course begins with a review of basic mathematics topics then moves on to topics related to modern business, accounting and finance. Concurrent enrollment in the Applied Math Lab course DE 78 is an option.

 Math 88 - Prealgebra

This course is designed for students needing to bridge the gap between arithmetic and algebra. Instruction is provided in the computational and problem-solving skills necessary for academic, vocational, and/or professional programs. Concurrent enrollment in the Applied Math Lab course Math 88L is recommended.

Math 88L - This laboratory course is designed to provide students with individual diagnosis, prescription, and instruction in the prealgebra topics covered in Math 88.
