Transferring to a Four-Year Institution

Students planning to transfer to a four-year institution from San Joaquin Delta College should consult with a Delta College counselor, a representative of the campus to which you plan to transfer, and refer to the college catalog and web site for that campus in order to obtain the most current information. There are four areas to research when planning the courses needed to transfer:

1. Admission requirements for the planned college or university.
2. Major preparation courses which meet prerequisites for upper division course work that should be completed at Delta College before transfer.
3. General education requirements that best meet transfer goals. Information for UC/CSU major preparation can be found at: www.assist.org.
4. Other requirements that can be completed at Delta College, such as foreign language, diversity and/or computer classes.
