NURS 006 - Nursing The Childrearing Family - Units 4

Prerequisites: NURS 4 and NURS 5 with a grade of "C" or better.

Limitations on Enrollment: Admission into the Associate Degree Nursing Program.

This course is designed to utilize the theme of wholism and the nursing process in the study of well and ill children from the neonatal to adolescent periods. Care of the childrearing family in health, acute and chronic illness, and in grief is discussed. The role of the pediatric nurse in acute and structured settings, principles of growth and development, and ethical-legal issues are integrated in the course content. (CSU)
